Kruger Park Safari in a Hut Accommodation
Kruger Park Tours Safari Vehicles
Guests are transported safe and comfortable vehicles to the Kruger National Park as well as in open but roofed safari vehicles which allows for ultimate viewing pleasure of the African Wildlife.
Day 1: Johannesburg to Kruger Park
We leave from Johannesburg in the early morning and on-route you will be amazed by grassland, wetland and woodland areas outside Witbank or eMalahleni as Kruger Park Tours takes you through the Highveld. The scenic Lowveld Area or Mpumalanga (name means east or literally “the place where the sun rises” in Swazi, Xhosa, Ndebele and Zulu) follows en-route to the Kruger National Park. In Skukuza Camp we stop for lunch at your own expense.
Your first sunset Safari game drive hosted by SANParks starts after you have settled into your accommodation. A sunset drive affords you the opportunity to see nocturnal African Wildlife. As this is not a private game drive you will be given the opportunity to meet other interesting guests of the Kruger Park. You might return after normal gate closing times because the SANParks rangers has this privilege.
(Children under 6 years of age are unfortunately not permitted on open SANParks vehicles)
A supreme three-course dinner with complimentary wine will be served under the stars (al fresco). Guests are welcome to bring along additional and/or alternative drinks available at the Kruger National Park Shop.
Day 2 & 3: Full day in the Kruger Park
Early morning tea, coffee, muffins and fruit are served before departing on the morning game drive of 3-4 hours. Groups are driven by highly experienced guides who will also give clients the history and background of the Kruger National Park and a full run down of the animals, trees and plants met on the drive.
Brunch will be served once returned from the morning game drive. Skukuza is the largest rest camp in the Kruger National Park, and serves as its headquarters and the main hub for nature conservation. Here you will find museums, restaurants, shops, a post office, a bank, a doctor and a laundromat. When you drive through the imposing gates into Skukuza you find yourself in an administration center with scientists, rangers, and conservationists. A wealth of knowledge can be gained in the information center, while adults and children can attend lectures in the nearby environmental education center. A museum has been constructed at the railway siding. You can have a meal in a restaurant housed in two old railway carriages. The Campbell 1929 Hut Museum was one of the first tourist attractions to be established in Skukuza and houses interesting relics from the period.
After exploring Skukuza for the day you will join us for the afternoon game drive in open but roofed Safari 4×4 vehicles so that you can have the best view of the African Wildlife.
When back in camp, you will be spoiled to perfection with dinner and wine. Around the camp fire you will share ranger stories of mysterious entries into what was inevitably happening daily in the bush.
(Included: Breakfast and Dinner)
Day 4: Kruger Park to Johannesburg
If any animals eluded you this far, this is your last chance and day with Kruger Park Tours on the morning game drive. The last change to capture the Big 5 on camera and collect memories of African Wildlife. After breakfast we will return you to Johannesburg. The drive back takes 6 hours and guests are advised to rather stay over in Johannesburg. This will ease the pressure of you missing a flight back home.
Panorama Route (Optional Excursion)
This offer is only available on day two of your Kruger Park Tours Safari, at no extra charge. This activity however replaces the activities for the day and only available if you are staying 3 days or longer. The Kruger National Park Panorama Route is known for its cultural heritage and spectacular landscapes. Breakfast will be enjoyed in one of the small towns en-route (own expense). On offer is a vast array of exciting options such as the Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels, Lisbon Waterfalls and God’s Window. Ask our staff on safari, to co-ordinate this for you.

Kruger Park Tours Safaris first and foremost utilizes the facilities and accommodation situated inside the Kruger National Park. In rare cases and due to unavailability, Kruger Park Tours is forced to use outside accommodation.
Kruger Park Tours has permanent accommodation in a camp in Skukuza. The open game drive vehicles are based here as well. Multiple rest camps are available on request.
Note this is not a private safari and thus it is very likely that other guests will join you on the game drives, air-conditioned mini bus as well as in the dining facility.
Also, note that the sunset game drive times are conducted by SANparks and their game rangers, in SANParks vehicles, subject to change and availability on the day. Again, most likely, other guests will join you on this game drive. Children under 6 years of age are not allowed on SANParks open game drive vehicles.
Yet, children are welcome on Kruger Park Tours Safaris and a bush bumble (kiddies game drive) will be conducted after the normal game drive, specifically focused on kids. We do not offer babysitting and thus it is the responsibility of the parents to care for their children. Private family game drives can be arranged at an extra charge.
You are reminded not to book flights leaving from OR Tambo Airport on the last day earlier than 19h00 (domestic) or 20h00 (international). We highly recommend that you rather stay over in Johannesburg on the last day of your Safari. Kruger Park Tours will not be held responsible for reimbursements of missed flight tickets.
Guests flying out of Nelspruit on the last day, should note that depending on flight details, may not have enough time to see the Panorama Route. However, a special Panorama Route with private transport can be arranged, in advance and at an extra charge.
