Addo Elephant Park,Garden Route & Cape Town Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Cape Town to Agulhas

The first part route takes us along the Coastal Whale Watching Route, through one of the most scenic parts of our country. The Southern Right Whales breed along this coastline between June and November. Departure is from Cape Town between 06h30 – 07h30. We stop en-route in the town of Hermanus to have lunch (at your own expense).

After lunch we head to Cape Augulas (the southernmost tip of Africa). We keep a sharp eye out for the Cape Grysbok in the fynbos or Cape fur seals and Dolphins. We reach the overnight destination and view one of the most spectacular sunsets in the world from the patios of our fisherman’s cottages which are built in view of the ocean.

The tour guide will prepare dinner which will be served al fresco outside your cabins. Wine is served with dinner but guests are welcome to bring along additional / alternative drinks which can be bought at a pitstop. (Dinner included)

Day 2: Agulhas to Tsitsikamma

The route takes you through the scenic regions of the Overberg and Langeberg where you can see fruit orchards and wheat farms on the route. These rolling grasslands boast the endangered Blue Crane, which is South Africa’s national bird. We may be fortunate enough to spot some of these extraordinary birds. Our road trip will be along the world renowned Garden Route and past the coastal towns nestled at the foot of the Outeniqua mountains. Then we will then reach Tsitsikamma, the jewel of the Southern Cape in time for lunch (at your own expense).

After lunch and checking into the accommodation we take a hike to a Waterfall to explore the beauty of the rare indigenous forest and stunning coastline. The Cape clawless otter might be spotted hunting in the streams and surf.
