Start the day with tantalizing breakfasts and end the day with three-course dinners, al fresco style, while sharing unlimited wine around the camp fire. You will go to bed surrounded by the perfect noises of African Wildlife.

Accommodation on a Kruger Safari in an en-suite hut / bungalow

Accommodation of the Kruger Safari in a hut / bungalow includes en-suite 3-Star round hut chalets with beds, linen, towels and soap. Chalets have a small fridge, air conditioning and mosquito proofing on the doors and windows. You have the option of visiting select attractions along the Panorama Route instead of joining the morning game drive (not applicable to 2 day safari). Wedged in between the Highlands Meander and the Kruger National Park is The Panorama Route with perfect views and natural wonders, namely God’s Window, the world’s third largest and biggest green canyon (Blyde River Canyon) as well as the impressive Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Three Rondawels.

We will fetch you from the airport, take you to the Kruger National Park and safely return you to the airport in a 12 seat bus. The most spectacular African Wildlife experience is facilitated in open safari vehicles.

Itinerary


Day 1: Gauteng to Kruger National Park

We leave on your Kruger Safari from Johannesburg in the early morning, a 4 to 5 hour drive down the escarpment and to the scenic Lowveld area. We will stop for lunch at your own expense.

Pick-up will be between 6h00 AM and 8h00 AM in any part of Johannesburg and for pick-up at Nelspruit Airport it wil be at 12h00 PM. Please do ensure that your local flight to Nelspruit Airport  lands at 11h30 AM and 9h00 AM for international flights so that you will be on time for pick-up.

You will go out on your first Game Drive (SANParks Sunset Drive) after settling into your accommodation. This sunset drive will reward you with spectacular African Night-life. SANParks’s rangers might return after the normal rest camp  closing times and other guests may join this drive.
(Children under 6 years of age are not permitted on open vehicle drives.)

A complimentary al fresco three course dinner with unlimited wine is included at our private camp within the Kruger National Park. Guests are welcome to bring additional or alternative drinks which is available at the Kruger National Park Shop.

Day 2: Full day in the Kruger National Park

You will start early morning with tea or coffee with muffins and fruit before departing on the morning drive which takes approximately 3-4 hours. Departure time varies according to season. Our knowledgeable tour guide will take you on a journey of exploration with impressive viewings of the Big 5, other fauna and flora.
When you return from the morning drive brunch will be served at our Kruger Park Camp. The afternoon you can leisure around, swim, visit the Museum, Kruger National Park Shop, take a walk around the camp, or just relax at the restaurant. The shop sells African curios, food items and drinks. 5 Things to seek at your Restcamp are the Fruit Bat, Thick–tailed Bush Baby, Warthog, Spotted Hyena and Purple–crested Lourie. The afternoon game drive again rewards you with highly experienced game ranger who informs clients of the history and background of the Kruger Park, animals, trees and plants encountered on the drive.

Dinner will be served and thereafter around the camp stories such as predator tension and competition between different species will be shared.  The stars in the night sky are amazing and so are the night sounds of animals.

Panorama Route (Optional Excursion)
This offer is only available on day two of your Kruger Park Tours Safari, at no extra charge. This activity however starts after breakfast/brunch (you will still have a morning game drive) and only available if you are staying 3 days or longer. The Kruger National Park Panorama Route is known for its cultural heritage and spectacular landscapes. Lunch will be enjoyed in one of the small towns en-route (own expense). Visit the Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels, Lisbon Waterfalls and God’s Window. Our staff will ask you if you want to join this activity.

Day 3: Kruger Park to Gauteng
Day 3 is the final day of your Kruger Park Tours Safari will include a morning game drive and this will be your last chance to see the Big 5 that might have eluded during days 1 and 2. We will return you to Johannesburg after breakfast. As the drive back takes 6 hours it is advised that guests sleep over in Johannesburg. You will arrive in Johannesburg between 17h00 PM and 18h00 PM. Please note that a local flight takes 2 hours for check in and 3 hours for international flights. Drop-off at Nelspruit Airport will be at 13h30 PM latest, please book flights accordingly.

Notes

Kruger Park Tours Safaris first and foremost utilizes the facilities and accommodation situated inside the Kruger National Park.

Note this is not a private safari and thus it is very likely that other guests will join you on the game drives, air-conditioned mini bus as well as in the dining facility.

Also, note that the sunset game drive times are conducted by SANparks and their game rangers, in SANParks vehicles, subject to change and availability on the day. Again, most likely, other guests will join you on this game drive. Children under 6 years of age are not allowed on SANParks open game drive vehicles.

Yet, children are welcome on Kruger Park Tours Game drives and a bush walk. We do not offer babysitting and thus it is the responsibility of the parents to care for their children. Private game drives can be arranged at an extra charge.

You are reminded not to book flights leaving from OR Tambo Airport on the last day earlier than 20h00 (domestic) or 21h00 (international). We highly recommend that you rather stay over in Johannesburg on the last day of your Safari. Kruger Park Tours will not be held responsible for reimbursements of missed flight tickets.

Pick-up at Nelspruit Airport is at 12h00 pm. Check out is 2 hours on a local fight and 3 hours on international flights. Guests flying out of Nelspruit on the last day, should book flight to depart not earlier than 14h00 pm for local flights and 15h00 for international flights.
